MINIX’s new Elite ER937 AI Mini PC packs desktop-class power in a compact frame

MINIX from Hong Kong just dropped the new Elite ER937 AI Mini PC, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most powerful compact systems out there.

This is achieved through the use of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mobile processor equipped with a 12-core + 24-thread setup that teams up with Radeon 890M graphics to deliver smooth performance for demanding tasks like 3D rendering, editing, or gaming.

It also comes with a built-in Ryzen AI NPU that delivers 50 TOPS of NPU power and up to 80 TOPS total AI performance. That means it’s great for real-time AI workloads, from intelligent media processing to productivity tasks that rely on machine learning.

They also didn’t skimp on expandability since it can support up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM and 8 TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, while cooling is done through a dual-fan setup of one for the 65W CPU and another for the SSD, plus a vapor chamber to spread heat evenly across the board, ensuring stable performance even during long sessions.

And while it’s small, it’s surprisingly user-friendly. The design includes two hidden front microphones for clear audio capture and a magnetic quick-release mechanism that makes upgrading or maintaining parts tool-free and hassle-free.

Connectivity-wise, it is stacked despite its size, as users get WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, plus USB-C 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4 for fast transfers and external displays. There’s even a fingerprint sensor for one-tap secure logins.
